Referring to a communication by the Chhattisgarh State Scheduled Caste Commission, Raipur, District Collector Mohammed Kaiser Abdul Haq has written to all heads of departmental offices to identify and take immediate action on officers and employees who have acquired Government jobs on the basis of fake caste certificates in the district.

The various courts in the country and the Department of Personnel of the Union Government  have issued directives to ensure disciplinary and punitive action against employees and officials serving on the basis of fake caste certificates submitted by them, according to an official statement issued here on Thursday.

In a sequel to the foresaid directives,  the Chhattisgarh State Scheduled  Caste Commission wants that the action needs to start from Chhattisgarh State.

As per the received information, those employees and officers who are on temporary employment or on probation must be directed to submit permanent and attested caste certificates in a definite time frame failing which their services be terminated without any investigation.

Moreover, it had been directed that permanent and attested caste certificates be submitted by the employees and officers in permanent service failing which their

services be terminated without any investigation and probe must continue in such cases in the period of the judicial proceedings.

None of the employees and officers without the attested and permanent caste certificates submitted by them should be regularised or promoted without the decision of the court. If found guilty, the services of such employees and officers must  be terminated.

If the employees and officers are facing problems in submission of  permanent caste certificates as well as attested certificates, they could be offered the benefit of regularisation and promotion after submission of documents on ‘Mishal Bandobast’, Education, Birth, Death or any other documents made prior to 1950 with details on the family tree.
