Collector and District Election Officer Bavasvraju S on Monday said that the 'Static Surveillance Team' (SST) would remain active round-the-clock during the lok Sabha polls in the district. Addressing a joint meeting of the SST and Flying Squad teams formed for the lok Sabha polls at the District Collectorate here, he said that check posts had been created in 14 locations in the district.
Basavraju said that the employees deployed at the check posts must take immediate action against those caught violating the model code of conduct after carrying out due investigation. "The entire investigation process must be recorded on video", he said. The SST team must constantly monitor the check posts, the Collector stated.
