The spouses of employees from Steel Melting Shop-1 (SMS-1) made a visit as an outcome of the initiative on the part of Personnel Department of SMS-1 of the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) here.
They were welcomed in the function organized at HRDC where GM (SMS-1) Kamlendu Das was the chief guest on the occasion. Other officials present on this occasion were — DGM (Personnel) Rajeev Menon and DGM (Operation) K Ramakrishna.
The prime objective for conducting such plant visit for the spouses of employees was to familiarize them with the functioning of the production unit under BSP, where their husbands work, officials stated.

Das said that SMS-1 is the important department of BSP, which is world renowned for its traditional technology and he employees manning this department are the dedicated lot, who are ensuring top quality production while contributing their might for facilitating BSP in registering the unprecedented production records in the process.
DGM Rajeev Menon apprised the spouses of employees about the significance of organising such escorted visits for the spouses of employees to various production units under
BSP and also imparted them specific instruction regarding the safety regulations to be abided during their visit to different production units.
DGM (Operation) K Ramkrishna addressed the housewives and presented each of them with a memento.
