In State, in all the 10,971 Gram Panchayats, a special Gram Sabha would be organised to pay rich tributes to former Prime Minister and Chhattisgarh State’s Founder late Atal Behari Vajpayee.
During the Condolence Motion would be read, two minutes’ silence would be observed to pay tributes to late Atal Behari Vajpayee.
Panchayat and Rural Development department officers said that a circular has been issued to this effect to all the district collectors and District Panchayat Chief Executive Officers. The Condolence Motion format has also been sent attached with the circulars.
The circulars states that in all the Zila Panchayats and Janpad Panchayats the general body meeting would be organised on August 28 and condolence motion would be passed.
They would have to send the details of meeting before August 31 to the Directorate, Panchayat.
Former Prime Minister late Atal Behari Vajpayee had passed away on August 16 at New Delhi. In the cabinet meeting held on August 21 chaired by Chief Minister, a condolence motion was passed at secretariat (Mahanadi Bhawan). It was decided that in all the Gram Panchayats, Janpad Panchayats and Zila Panchayats, a condolence meeting would be organised and motion would be passed. Based on the decision taken in cabinet the Panchayat and Rural Development department has issued the circular.
