Special Gram Sabha will be organized in all village Panchayats of the state on August 20 where discussion on the agriculture, health, drinking water, and nutrition and child protection will be held along with implementation of the different government schemes.
All district collectors have been directed to fix the timing of Janpad, Panchayat-wise village meeting where one panchayat has more than one village. In such cases, different dates should be fixed where the Sarpanch and village secretary can participate in each village meetings. For success of the meeting, ground level officers, employees should be given responsibility and accountability should be fixed.
The village meeting will also conduct social audit of the last meetings, pledges taken in the meetings.
Social audit of pension schemes, verification of beneficiaries, weekly market among others will also be taken up for review.
Villagers will also discuss on the control of mosquito, cleanliness, pure drinking water, repairs of handpump and status of conservation of water. The status of fertilizers, seed and pesticides provided by agriculture department, status of kharif crop, crop insurance scheme will also be taken up for discussion.
