Detection of smoke in locomotive of Tirupati Express near Baghbahara railway station under East Coast Railway on Monday created anxiety among passengers travelling in the train.
As per information received, smoke in locomotive of Tirupati Express heading towards Bilaspur from Tirupati was detected at 2:30 pm near Baghbahara railway station which delayed the train for over one hour. After being informed about the incident, a fire tender was deployed to put out the smoke.

On the receipt of information about the incident, East Coast Railway and South East Central Railway’s (SECR) Raipur division staff geared up for tackling the situation, said railway officials.
Officials further informed that after dousing the smoke, the train was allowed to move ahead for lakholi under Raipur railway division and a locomotive was provided by the division for replacement. After a delay of over an hour, the express resumed its forward journey with new engine.
