Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (Jogi) (JCC) (J) has announced to field sitting MLAs Siyaram Kaushik and RK Rai from Bilha and Gunderdehi assembly constituency respectively.
Both the leaders were expelled from the Congress party on whose ticket they were elected in the last Assembly polls.
In a yet another list, the JCC (J) decided to field Bilha MLA Siyaram Kaushik and Gunderdehi MLA R.K. Rai from their respective constituencies. Notably, their names were not declared even when six lists were released by the party .
Kaushik in the previous elections got elected by defeating former State Assembly Speaker and present State Bharatiya Janata Party President Dharamlal Kaushik. He is known as a devoted supporter of JCC (J) Supremo Ajit Jogi and was with him right since he floated his own political outfit.
On the other hand retired police officer R K Rai too is an ardent supporter of Jogi who was with him since the inception of JCC (J). Both the leaders didn’t resign from Congress party and a couple of months ago they were expelled from the party. Even though, their membership in the Assembly is still alive with pending application of Leader of Opposition T.S. Singhdeo demanding to debar them.
