As per the directives of district collector Ritu Sain, a team of Assistant Mining officers has seized six vehicles for illegally transporting minerals from Changori village under Batouli and lundra tehsil. All the seized vehicles have been handed over to the Batoli and Bariyo police stations.
An Assistant Mining Officer said that Tinnu Singh owner of the vehicles with registration number UP64/H/9655, CG15/AC/3994 and UP64/H/8280, a sold tractor of owner Akash Mittal and Pawan Mittal and vehicle with registration number CG15/A/6194 of Pramod Agrawal were seized.
legal action has been initiated against the vehicle owners under Chhattisgarh Micro Minerals Act 2015. Officials added that action will be continued against illegal transporters and unauthorised diggers.
Mining Inspector Bajrang Singh Paikra, Mining constable Rajesh Yadav, Pankaj, Manjit Manjhi and others were present during the inspection of vehicles.
