Six trains resume after CM’s intervention

The Railway Ministry has ordered the renewed operation of six important passenger trains passing through Chhattisgarh after the intervention of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

The action came after Baghel spoke to the Railway Minister on Tuesday asking him to continue the operation of the suspended train services in view of inconvenience faced by passengers.

A communiqué from the state government said six important passenger trains passing through Chhattisgarh have been restored.

These include 18237/18238 Korba-Amritsar-Korba (Chhattisgarh Express), 12807/12808 Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin-Visakhapatnam (Samta Express) and 12771/12772 Secunderabad-Raipur-Secunderabad Express.

An order to this effect was issued late on Tuesday.

The operation of 23 express and local trains passing through Chhattisgarh was stopped for one month from April 24 through an order issued by the Principal Chief Operations Manager, South-East Central Railway, Bilaspur.
