A case of cheating involving Rs 9.15 was registered with Moudhapara police station, police said on Wednesday.
The accused in case had duped the victims in the name of getting them employed in forest department, Moudhapara police informed. According to police the accused has duped six persons in the name of getting them employed. Police said Riyaz Ali who is an employee of forest department had assured the complainants of his reach in the corridors of power and also told that he could get them employed in the forest department.
“Believing on Riyaz Ali the six complainants gave him different amounts ranging from Rs 1.35 lakhs to Rs 2 lakh,” informed officer investigating the case. Police said Asif had given Rs 2 lakh to the accused accordingly Salam Rs 2 lakh, Mohammed Saheb Rs 1.50 lakh, Mohammed Kalim Rs 1.60 lakh, Kazi Umar Rs 1.35 lakh and Pooja Anand had given Rs 70,000 to the complainant. Moudhapara police has registered a case of cheating against the accused.
