Half a dozen leaders of the State have been inducted in the ‘Team Rajnath’, in the national executive committee declared by the president of the BJP, Rajnath Singh, on Sunday.
MP from Durg Saroj Pandey has been made national president of the BJP Mahila Morcha, whereas, former MP Karuna Shukla has been removed from the vice president post, but included her as executive member.
In the national executive, former Union Minister Dilip Singh Judeo has been placed as a member, besides MP from Janjgir-Champa Kamla Patel. Former Union Minister Ramesh Bains has been included in the executive as a party advisory in the lok Sabha, whereas State Chief Minister Raman Singh will be the permanent invitee member in the executive.
Saudan Singh, who is the national assistant organisation secretary in the Team Rajnath at present, will be joint general secretary in the team.
It is said that several leaders of the party, including Brijmohan Agrawal, former Assembly speaker Premprakash Pandey, were also making efforts to get a place in the national executive of the party.
National president of the party Rajnath Singh had been the in-charge of Chhattisgarh BJP, hence the leaders of the state were in the hope that the state would get importance at the national level.
But they had to face disappointment. According to party sources, the senior leaders of the State were unhappy with the national executive. Former Union Minister Ramesh Bains could not hide his protest, and while speaking to reporters at a function held here on Sunday, he even said perhaps none of the male leaders of Chhattisgarh was found eligible for the national executive.
