Chhattisgarh Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo will inaugurate the newly established Cath lab unit at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Medical College Hospital’s Advance Cardiac Institute (ACI) through e-inauguration on August 22 at 4.00 pm.
Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College Dean Dr Vishnu Dutt said in a statement that the installation of most modern Cath lab machines has been carried out at a cost of Rs 3 crore. Additional advanced machines have been installed to help in treatment of heart diseases.
The head of the Cardiology Department, Dr Smith Shrivastava, said all the machines have received radiation license from Bhabha Atomic Energy Centre, Trombay.
After Lucknow and Jammu Kashmir, it is the third government institution where all the machines have been installed.
He added that after the inauguration on Saturday, angiography, angioplasty and heart related other diseases treatment will begin from Monday.
