Chhattisgarh Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo on Thursday visited Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital here and inspected the ongoing renovation work.
A press communiqué said the state's biggest hospital is being transformed on the lines of private hospitals.
Keeping in view the fear of a third Covid-19 wave, all the 30 beds in each of the wards of the hospital have been connected with an oxygen pipeline.
Health officials told the Minister that the department is giving attention to quality health services.
There was a plan to construct an additional ICU at a higher storey, it said.
