Chhattisgarh Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo on Tuesday backed the demands of Ukraine-returned Indian students for accommodating them in medical colleges in the country by allotting additional seats.
Singh Deo wrote to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and sought immediate action on the plea of students who fled Ukraine after Russia's military intervention.
The move would fulfill the need more for doctors in country, he said. He enclosed the memorandum of the students.
The Minister said a total 207 students from Chhattisgarh were affected by the war in Ukraine.
