Singdeo issues notices to Kashyap, Chandrakar

Published on:

Opposition eader in Chhattisgarh Assembly TS Singhdeo has issued notices to School Education Minister Kedar Kashyap and Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development Ajay Chandrakar while asking them to immediately withdraw their statement claiming the Congress MlAs have agreed over State Government’s decision to outsource school teachers during the meeting of Bastar and Surguja Development Authority held recently.

If the statement is not withdrawn within three days, the Congress legislature Party (ClP) leader is going to initiate legal action against the Ministers, said State Congress Spokesperson Shailesh Nitin Trivedi.

Notably, addressing a press conference held here in Raipur on October 4, the Ministers had stated that the decision on outsourcing expert teachers taken by the Government was also backed by all political parties including members of Opposition during the meeting of Bastar Development Authority and Surguja Development Authority.

Outsourcing issue was neither a part of discussion nor was it raised during discussion, so there is no question of supporting such a decision by the ClP leader, said Trivedi, adding that leader of Opposition is completely against any such move for outsourcing teachers and he has made his view public on various occasions.

The statement was made with an intention to damage and harm the reputation of the ClP leader among people of Chhattisgarh, added Trivedi.

Singhdeo in his notice asked both Chandrakar and Kashyap to immediately withdraw the statement, to tender an unconditional apology through print and electronic media and to refrain in the future from making such false and baseless allegation against him.

Meanwhile, Singhdeo also cautioned to take legal action against the Ministers under sections 499 and 500 of Indian Penal Code (IPC), if they fail to respond to his notice, added Trivedi.
