Chief Minister Raman Singh on Monday night participated in the Satsang 'Spandan' organised by the spiritual Guru and Art of living Founder Sri Sri Ravi shankar at Jhora Maidan.
He said that with the blessings of saints Bastar region will be free of the menace of Naxalism in due course of time.The fragrance of peace and development will spread in the region and the entire state, Singh said.
Sri Sri Ravishankar during his sojourn of Chhattisgarh shared his thoughts and teachings with the citizens of Bijapur residents.
He called upon the left-Wing Extremists to shun bullets and participate in ballots and join the mainstream society.
The Spiritual Guru offered his services to mediate between the State and the misguided youth for the sake of peace in the society.
Singh greeted Sri Sri Ravi shankar on behalf of the citizens of Chhattisgarh.
The Art of living Founder called upon the Chief Minister to impose prohibition and encourage organic farming in the State.
Sri Sri Ravi shankar added that violence will not solve any problem and only peace can resolve any conflict.
He called upon the gathering to adopt 'Swachchta' mission. He also answered queries of the devotees.
