At least seven Government officials have been served showcause notice for not attending a training camp held on Friday here on the counting of postal ballots.
Seven officials did not attend the training camp organised at the Bhilai Institute of Technology campus here by the district election office. They include two chief executive officers, one tehsildar and three patwari. The district collector who is also the district returning officer had expressed his displeasure over the absence of the officials. The counting of postal ballots will be held on Nov 8.
The officials who will be involved in the counting of the postal ballots have already been provided necessary trainings at the camp. The election administration has served show cause notice to all the seven officials who did not attend the training. The officials who did not attend the training camp include Janpad CEO patan K.K.Verma, Janpad CEO Dhamdha Prakash Meshram, tehsildar Patan Rupesh Verma, CMO Patan R.K.Sahu, patwari Kamalesh Rajput, Sankar Prasad, Sishupal Srivastab.
