Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Wednesday that unabridged assistance would be provided to the unseasoned rains and hailstorm affected farmers of the State to make them fit to stand up on their feet.

Chouhan was addressing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers of Guna-Shivpuri parliamentary constituency in Shivpuri.

“State Government has sought Election Commission of India (ECI) nod for distributing the assistance amount. As soon as the Government gets clearance, not a single farmer would be allow to deprived of the assistance,” Chouhan said.

Chouhan said that at the place of extending helping hands towards the sufferers of the natural calamity peasants the Congress has closed its eyes towards it by tying black bands. Madhya Pradesh is becoming victim of injustice of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Central Government,he added.

Hitting at Union Minister and Congress candidate from Guna-Shivpuri seat Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Chief Minister said that had he been sensitive towards the farmers of the State then he should have pleaded in favour of State Government before the Prime Minister

for getting maximum Central assistance.  The Congress always shed crocodile tears but the people of the State understand its game plan and Scindia would have to pay dearly for the political games he played, he added.

He said that the BJP Government has always adopted sympathetic stand towards the farmers.By providing loans at zero per cent interest to the farmers it has made the agriculture a profit making business besides it always stood by them like rock in the hours of crisis, he added.

The senior BJP leader said that the Congress has always emotionally exploited the weaker sections and farmers of the country. During the past ten years the UPA Government of the Centre has deprived the State from Central aid, he added.
