The teachers known as Shiksha Karmis said as many as 314 schools have been operating under school education department and 290 schools in tribal welfare department.   All these schools get hundred per cent aid from the government.

However the contract teachers working in such schools for the past eight years have not been given salary and allowances what the Government has been providing contractor teachers in other government schools.

The state chairman of the aided teachers-employees union Sanjay Dubey said the union representatives have already met the education department secretary and brought to his notice their problems. Although they are being given positive assurance, no notification is being issued, he said.

If the government does not grant salary and other allowances at par with contractor teachers working at government schools, the union will be forced to decide on the further course of action,
