Bihaan Bazaar, an initiative by the National Rural livelihood Mission, will be organised to market the products of Women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Raipur in March.
The exhibition will have a stall of one SHG from each of the 27 districts of the State.
Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Ajay Chandrakar on Friday reviewed the preparations of the ‘Bihaan Bazaar’ with the senior officials and issued necessary directions. Notably, there are around 63,000 Women’s SHGs under the project and 6.30 lakh members.
Meanwhile, panchayat officials gave a power point presentation of the ‘Bihaan Bazaar’.
Chandrakar called upon the officials to impart training to the group members in attractive packaging and give wide publicity in villages. He directed the officials to make a master plan to have a ‘Bihaan Bazaar’ on the lines of shopping mall at Naya Raipur. The officials said that the SHG members are being trained so that they may not face difficulties in doing cashless transactions.
