State Urban Development Minister Amar Agrawal has set the deadline of April 2017 to set up 'Solid and liquid Resources Management' (SlRM) centres in all municipal bodies for undertaking solid waste management.
He was reviewing work done under ‘Mission Clean City’ at the Mantralaya here.
The Minister also directed officials to start training for members of Self
Help Groups (SHGs) for taking up door to door garbage collection, running of SlRM centres and composting of organic waste.
