Directors of private hospitals functioning in the district are worried, as the online registration of their hospitals is not being done under the Nursing Homes Act. They said that November 19 was the last date for registration and the internet service is said to be failed, and they could not submit their applications. As the officers are busy in election, difficulties are on the rise in the registration. In such a situation, they have demanded to extend the last date of registration. According to sources, all the private hospitals were being operated after having licence from the government. Under the Nursing Homes Act, once again, the registration is being done and for that, they were told to send application online.

Directors of several hospitals of the district have submitted their applications, but registration of most of the hospitals is pending. As the last date for registration is approaching fast, most of the hospital directors are trying their level best, but for the last two-three days, the server is down. Now, they are worried that how they could submit the receipt, as the registration has not been done. In addition, due to delay in submission of receipt, action should not be taken against their hospitals. Private hospital directors said that under the new rule, this registration should be done at local level and without that, they might face difficulties in operating hospital. They said that because of the failure of internet service and the election duty of officers, the last date should be extended, so they could get time for registration.

They said that under the Nursing Homes Act, information has been sought about the arrangements in the hospitals and for that separate criterion has been fixed. Hospitals operation under Allopath, Homoeopathy, Ayurveda and Unani systems also included in it. They said that recently, health department officers, holding a meeting of private hospital directors, had given full information about the Nursing Homes Act. The registration of their hospitals is mandatory, but guidelines for those who are working on Unani, Homoeopathy and Ayurveda systems are not clear. The directors of hospitals operated at villages are more disturbed. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr KR Sonwani said that he has been receiving many complaints from Raipur district. Private hospital directors have been complaining that they could not submit application as the server is down. He said that he had discussion with higher officers and the server would be repaired soon. He said that works in offices have been affected due to the election. After the election, everything would be in order.
