Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said that Abujhmad region in Bastar was fast matching the footprints of contemporary times and seeing its tribals joining the mainstream was one of the happiest moments in his life.
“Filled with natural beauty, Narayanpur region was lagging behind in the development path. But there was a major transformation after the Congress government took charge three-and-a-half years ago," he said.
Baghel said: “Now after the land title has been provided to the Abujhmadia, they could take steps towards modern farming with installation of solar pumps and leveling their farms under the MNREGA projects."
The tribal farmers of the region are also benefitting from the flagship Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay scheme and are constructing ponds for fisheries projects.
