Security has been heightened for BJP’s lok Sabha candidate from Rajnandgaon, Abhishek Singh .
Abhishek being the son of Chief Minister Raman Singh already has a ‘Z’ security cover and the same had now been enhanced to ‘Z plus’, official sources informed. The security was heightened as a significant part of Rajnandgaon district is also affected by insurgency. The other reason being cited for enhanced security for the candidate is that he would have to travel in sensitive insurgency-infested regions for poll campaigning.
In all, now Abhishek would have a security cover of 36 personnel. The party workers who would now attend his public meetings would be allowed in the venue only after a thorough security check.
