Raipur Railway division of South East Central Railway (SECR) has introduced the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai manufactured three-phase MEMU (Mainline Electrical Multiple Unit) rake in lines of Train-18 (Vande Matram Express) design specialties.
The train will run as Raipur-Raigarh-Raipur MEMU Fast Passenger Special train.
The whole structure is made of stainless steel. The coach has facilities of LED based passenger information system which provides information regarding the upcoming railway station, speed of train, GPS, CCTV camera, LED lighting, bio-toilet and air-spring based seat facilities.
It is also equipped with Rake protection-anti fire protection system, the facilities which becomes operational in case of coach catches fire.
The pantograph has automatic dropping device (ADD) and other latest equipment as part of enhanced safety features.
SECR hopes that with the new train, the passengers would be able to enjoy the ride with comfortable facilities and feeling.
