The South East Central Railway (SECR) has constructed a Transit building at a cost of `70 lakh near the Zone Headquarters in Bilaspur.
The newly-constructed building was inaugurated by SECR General Manager Satyendra Kumar on Tuesday.
As per information received, it took around one-and-half years to complete the two–storey Transit building which was sanctioned in financial year 2013-14.
The objective of developing a Transit building was to provide lodging facility to officials who arrived here after their transfer and did not have housing facility, officials stated.
On the occasion, Divisional Railway Manager (Bilaspur) Ravindra Goyal and senior officials of the zone and division were present.
