The second phase of the state-wide Vikas Yatra will start under the leadership of chief minister Dr Raman Singh from Telai village in Rajnandgaon district on May 14. In the second phase of the Yatra, the chief minister will participate in the programmes in Rajnandgaon, Kabirdham (Kawardha), Bemetara and Durg districts.
According to an official press statement issued here on Monday, at the functions, the chief minister will dedicate and perform bhumi pujan of construction works worth crores of rupees and will give away paddy bonus for the year 2012 to the farmers and bonus to the tendupatta collectors for the year 2012.
According to the scheduled programme, on May 14 morning at 11, chief minister Raman Singh will reach Telai village by helicopter and after the welcome programme he will leave for Telkadih village onboard Vikas Rath. He will address a public meeting at Khairagarh tehsil headquarters at 12.30 noon. At 2.30 pm he will attend a welcome function at Chhuikhadan, he will address public meeting at Gadhai at 3.15 pm, lohara in Kabirdham district at 4.45 pm and will reach Kawardha at 6 pm.
After night halt at Kawardha, the chief minister will address the press on May 15 morning and then he will proceed for Pondi village at 11 am and attend the welcome function at Pandatharai at 11.30 am. He will address a public meeting at Pandariya at 12 noon.
Dr Singh will enter Bemetara district via Kunda, Damapur and Dadhi villages at 3.40 pm. He will address a public meeting at Navagarh at 4.30 pm. He will address a public meeting at Bemetara district headquarters at 6.30 pm.
On the third day of the 2nd phase of Vikas Yatra, the chief minister will hold a press conference at Bemetara on May 16 at 10 am and will hold public meetings at Devarbija, Saja, Dhamdha and Ahirwara. He will reach Pattan at 6.45 pm via Jamul, Bhilai-3, Kumhari and Jamgaon and after a public meeting there; he will leave for Raipur on car.
On May 17, the chief will address public meetings at Dongargaon in Rajnandgaon district at 11.30 am, Dongargarh at 3.30 pm. He will reach Rajnandgaon at 6.30 pm and will have night halt there. On May 18, after hold a press conference at Rajnandgaon at 11 am he will address a public meeting there at 11.30 am.
Dr Singh will reach Chouki in Rajnandgaon district by helicopter and after attending Vikas Yatra programme there he will leave for Raipur.
