Inter-Institute cultural competition ‘NIKHAR-2015’ and sports competition ‘PRAKHAR-2015’ held at Raipur Institute at Kharun Vihar Engineering Colony concluded here on Thursday. A fancy dress competition was also held on the concluding day in which children participated with great enthusiasm. Inspiring messages like not using polythene bags, save water, protect plants and similar themes were displayed by participants through their dressing themes.
Master Shahbaz Ahemd Faridi got the first prize in this event. later on, prizes were distributed among the winners of singing competition held the other day. Highlight of the closing ceremony was performance by Rimisha the participant of popular TV show ‘Dance India Dance’. She received all round applause for her outstanding performance and was presented with a memento.
Total 358 entries came for both events out of which 253 were for Nikhar and 105 for Prakahar. In filmy song below 15 years competition, Sharda Nath got first prize while in classical dance below 12 years, Shoury Mallik got first prize. In classical dance 12 years more category, prize was given to Reetu Khobragade. In Prakhar Indoor Chess championship A Suryanarayana got the first prize, while in Carrum single male category Ratan Bahadur Thapa bagged the first prize.
In single female category of Carrum Padma Priay stood first. In Badminton single game, RS Prasad won the first place while in doubles K Vijay Kumar and R Ravi Kumar grabbed the top place. The concluding ceremony was marked with presence of Jairam Manjhi CMW Uday Bharti WPO, MK Singh Senior DPO and several others.
