Schools closed ahead of polls in Jagdalpur

The education in schools which were affected in Jagdalpur district due to two-month long strike by Sikhsakarmis is likely to be affected further as authorities declared holiday to provide accommodation to the security forces ahead of the election scheduled next month.

The teaching was initially affected due to the strike by Sikhya Karmis. Subsequently the students went on Puja vacation.

When the schools were gearing up to resume study after the vacation, the administration enforced holiday so that the schools buildings can be used to house security forces, the parents alleged.

They said the schools have been asked to declare holiday without any prior notice.Such a move will not only affect the study but also create trouble for the students who are rigorously preparing for class tenth and class twelve board examinations, they alleged.

The carelessness of the administration will not only jeopardize the future of the school students, the students of class tenth and twelve will also face difficulty as they have to submit their forms to the school authorities by October 30, they alleged.
