Under the National Cleanliness Awareness Week, schoolchildren in the district carried out cleaning work in different areas of the district.
The sanitation oath under National Sanitation Drive will be administered at Agricultural Produce Marketing Yard by Member of Parliament Dr Bhusan lal Jangde on October 2 here.
According to district administration officials, the school students along with villagers carried out sanitation drive in village Bejabhat, Amora, Javeri, Bavanlakh, Sarda, Pahanda and others. Students also distributed pamphlets to promote generate awareness among locals.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi, a hand wash program will be also carried out.
The officials further informed that MP Dr Bhusanlal Jangde will administer sanitation oath to residents of district in Agricultural Produce Marketing Yard on October 2. The activities to be carried out during the ‘National Cleanliness Drive’ will also commence after the administration of the oath.
District Collector Dr Basavraju has released a circular directing the head of departments, CEO and CMOs for attending the oath taking ceremony. He has also asked the officials to get sanctioned the sanitation work to be carried out in village throughout the year from Gram Sabhas.
