The Congress party on Wednesday demanded resignation of School Education Minister Kedar Kashyap following an alleged case where a different woman was caught giving exam in place of the Minister’s wife Shanti Kashyap at lohandiguda of insurgency-hit Bastar region.
leader of Congress legislative Party (ClP) TS Singhdeo in a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Raman Singh demanded Kashyap’s resignation on moral grounds with a copy of his letter also sent to BJP National President Amit Shah.
Singhdeo in the letter said that Kedar Kashyap has been heading important departments like School Education, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Caste Development for the third time in the State.
He charged that BJP Government was trying to cover up the incident like several other scams which had happened in the State.
According to the ClP, the State Education Minister is the role model for children. However, this act has dented the dignity of the office he is holding, he said.
