Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said the lack of adequate rains during the monsoon is a matter of concern. At places where enough showers have been received, the cropping for Kharif season has begun.
Speaking to the media before leaving for Korea district for his Bhent Mulaqat drive, Baghel said the delay in monsoon rains had led to concern for the kharif season.
In larger areas, it is a major concern for the government and the farmers, he said.
He said that farmers were happy due to loan waiver and other flagship ‘Nyay’ schemes. The payment of paddy procurement on support price was released into accounts of farmers within a week. The first instalment of Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Scheme has been released.
On Maharashtra, he said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cannot tolerate the governments of opposition parties in states. It first tries to destabilize and then form a government of its own.
They conspire continuously to inject rebellions in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and in Maharashtra, he said.
On higher cases of malnutrition in a few districts, Baghel said that Covid-19 had caused some hindrance but distribution of hot-cooked food has now begun. Special emphasis will be given in higher risk areas.
