The bail plea of Sanjay Bajpai builder was turned down by a local court. The bail plea was rejected after the court did not found enough grounds to grant the bail, sources said on Saturday.
Notably Sanjay Bajpai is in jail since June 13 after he surrendered in the local court. Bajpai is accused of grabbing precious government land falling under the Kamal Vihar Scheme of Raipur Development Authority.
The case was filed on the basis of report submitted by three member committee chaired by Alex Paul Menon, Chief Executive Officer, Raipur Development Authority. The report said that Sanjay Bajpai had illegally encroached upon 9.714 hectares of Government land in Dunda, Sejbahar and Boriyakala. Thereafter, more than 250 plots were plotted from the encroached land and were sold to people while claiming it to be his ownership land, which is a clear case of forgery and conspiracy.
During investigations police found that Sarita Bajpai wife of Sanjay Bajpai was also partner of Sanajy Bajpai Builder’s Pvt ltd. She was also made co-accused in the case but was granted conditional bail after Sarita Bajpai made official submission in court that Sanjay Bajpai used to look after the entire work of company and she was partner only for name.
