'Sakshar Bharat' activities reviewed

Under the Sakshar Bharat (literate India) programme a district-level review meeting was held at Wadrafnagar in the presence of Assistant Director (Administration & Training) Prashant Kumar Pandey.District Project Officer Dr Pl Singh informed about the Sakshar Bharat activities going on in the district. 

He said that Saksharta classes were organised to ensure participation of cent per cent candidates in the ‘Maha Pariksha’. Under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Beema Yojna and Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojna, motivators have enrolled around 10,000 account holders and were insured, he said.

Assistant Director Pandey while addressing the block project officers, programme coordinators, assistants Grade-III and the motivators, said that all the departments of Sakshar Bharat should always have their target in mind and work accordingly. 

He said that students, who have cleared the Maha Pariksha, but have forgotten reading and writing, should be educated in ‘Aakhar Jhapi’ and should join them to the main stream. Pandey asked officials to  stress on skill development programme. Pandey congratulated the entire team for opening accounts of Sakshar Bharat Balrampur, under Jan Dhan Yojana within the time frame. 

Assistant District Project Officer Surguja, Girish Gupta, OAssistant District Project Officer of Balrampur Om Prakash Gupta, all block project officers, programme coordinator, assistants Grade-III, district level office staff and motivators of Wadrafnagar were present in the meeting.
