Sai finally steps in CM house, performs ‘Grih Pravesh’

Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday formally entered the official bungalow for the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister after performing religious rituals.

The bungalow is located in the Civil Lines area of the state capital.

Since assuming office on December 13, Sai has been performing his duties from Pahuna – the state guest house in Raipur.

Sai will be the fourth occupant of the bungalow that was allocated as Chief Minister’s official residence after Chhattisgarh came into being and Ajit Jogi took over as the first Chief Minister on December 1, 2000.

During the BJP’s 15-year term, Dr Raman Singh stayed in the same bungalow that was later occupied by Bhupesh Baghel of the Congress.

A government spokesperson said Sai and his wife Kaushalya Sai and family members performed puja at the bungalow and completed all the rituals of 'Grih Pravesh'.
