Complaints of sabotage against the Congress candidates have been received from 17 Assembly seats. At many constituencies, the BJP candidates have been helped, whereas, in some other, the BSP and other parties. Written and oral complaints have been made with the State president of the party Dr Charandas Mahant.

In the election, leader of the Opposition and other candidates have to face sabotage. Some are raising finger on a senior leader of the party. Seven time MlA from Pathalgaon Rampukar Singh had to face defeat for the first time. Singh said that sabotage was done in his constituency openly. He had made oral complaint with the State president and would give written complaint also, he said.

Singh declined to take anyone’s name openly but said systematic conspiracy had been made to defeat him. There are two blocks — Pathalgaon and Kansabel — in the constituency. Sabotage effort was made in Pathalgaon, but could not get success, as his supporters and workers were alert there. However, in Kansabel, they played the game successfully, because of which he was defeated, he said.

It is said that complaints were received that some people of the party had helped the BSP and other party candidates in the Assembly constituencies of Raipur district, including Raipur West, Bhattapara, Aarang and some other seats reserved for the scheduled castes. Efforts were made to defeat many other candidates, but could not. According to sources, State president Dr Mahant has reached Delhi with all the reports. He would give his report to Congress national vice-president Rahul Gandhi.
