Schedule Caste leader and Chhattisgarh Minister for Public Health Guru Rudra Kumar on Monday demanded action under the SC/ST Atrocity Act against BJP leader and former Minister Rajesh Munat.
Talking to reporters here, Guru Rudra Kumar said Munat abused and threatened two youths knowing very well that they were from the Schedule Caste community.
“The only reason for the thrashing was that the two youth were wearing black clothes. They had not come to protest against Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, rather they were in the capital to meet me”, the Minister said.
Though the BJP says the BJP leaders interrogated the youths because of mistaken identity, it was a fact that Munat abused them even after getting their names, Rudra Kumar said.
Other senior leaders of the BJP too joined the protest in favour of Munat at the police station which proves that Munat had done all these at their behest.
The Minister demanded action against Munat and other BJP leaders under the SC/ST atrocity act.
