Taking a swipe at a key RSS leader Indresh Kumar over his recent remark, Chhattisgarh Christian Forum on Wednesday said the RSS leader had tried to build up a nexus of the Churches in Chhattisgarh and the Naxal movement and `his statement is a conspiracy against Christian’.
In a strongly worded statement, the Forum questioned the logic of the RSS leader Kumar and said, ``till date the RSS has not been attacked by Naxalites. So do we presume that there is an understanding between the RSS and the Naxalites’’. `On the other hand Church can be a vital bridge in the solving Naxal problems,’’ the statement added.
The Forum went on saying in response to RSS leader’s remark that `it’s a common knowledge that under the patronage of RSS, fundamentalists vandalize churches. In Bastar region, the VHP is very active. Christian graveyards, churches, schools and social centres have been attacked and broken down. There are hardly any church left which can be demolished. In Bastar district the land and property of Christian Methodist Church have been illegally and forcefully occupied by the Government itself. Government offices have been constructed on those properties’’.
