Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Sunday took out a ‘silent march’ in Raipur protesting against the killing of it’s worker by suspected Naxals in Kanker district recently and alleged life threats being issued to its cadres in the state particularly in tribal-dominated areas.
BJP leaders and workers also took part in the march which rolled out from Ram temple at VIP Road under the leadership of RSS Prant Sanghachalak Bisraram Yadav.
The silent march was destined to reach collectorate office to hand over a memorandum to the district collector. However, the district administration officials had reached Marine Drive in the mid-way, where the march culminated after handing over the memorandum.
Former chief minister and BJP national vice president Raman Singh and workers of various RSS affiliates also took part in the protect march.
