The first tranche of funds for the construction of 41 approved works of South Bastar Region Tribal Development Authority was released by Collector Amit Kataria here on Monday. The Collector released an amount of Rs1.14 crore out of the total Rs1.73 crore earmarked for these projects.
It is about 65 per cent fund release out of the aforementioned fund, stated officials. The funding covers Rs7 lakh for passenger waiting rooms at Gram Panchayats Kudalgaon and Ghatlohanga under Janpad Panchayat Bastar.
Similar amount is marked for the Gram Panchayat Tarapur under the Janpad Panchayat Bakawand. As amount of Rs4 lakh had been granted for Additional Room at Jaibel Gram Panchayat and Rs10 lakh for Community Building at Gram Panchayat Bhanpuri under Janpad Panchayat Bastar.
For a Cultural Building construction at Patel Para of Gram Panchayat Matkot under Janpad Panchayat Tokapal an amount of Rs 4 lakh had been granted. likewise, Pandanar Gram Panchayat under Bakawand Janpad Panchayat got Rs5 lakh for Mangal Bhawan.
A stage at Gram Panchayat Dhanpunji under Janpad Panchayat Jagdalpur will be built with a fund of Rs1.50 lakh. For Cement-Concrete Road from Taxi-Stand to Shishu Mandir and Baliram Ghar-Budhram Ghar under Janpad Panchayat Bade Dharaur an amount of Rs4 lakh each has been granted.
