Compensatory amount for family of five people who drowned in separate incidents has been approved by Jashpurnagar Collector lS Ken on Thursday.
Relative of four persons will get a sum of Rs 1.5 lakh each, while relatives of the fifth person will be given Rs 1 lakh as compensation. Arjun Ram, resident of Baigaamba, had drowned in a pond in June 2011. His wife will be given Rs 1 lakh from the Government funds. Seeta Ram had drowned in a well in July 2013, Hrishi Sharma drowned in a pond in April 2013, 35-year-old Sanjay Kumar had drowned in a well in September 2013 and lachhan Sai had drowned in a village well in October 2013.
Nearest relatives of these persons will get a compensation of Rs 1.5 lakh from the State Government’s relief fund.
