Prakash said that the State Government has made certain amendments in the land Revenue Code in which the transfer of agricultural land would be made only to the genuine farmers for which rules are being framed.

The Government has also ended levy of one per cent ‘Panchayat Fee’ during registration of properties in the urban areas of the State, he said.

It was also informed in the meeting that one percent exemption of stamp duty is applicable in cases where the property is being transferred to a female member of a family. As a result, till August this year, exemptions totalling Rs 16 crore were offered to women beneficiaries in this regard, he said.
