Cash of Rs 21 lakh was seized from employee of a private motor showroom during checking drive, informed Station House Officer Sarawati Nagar Prithviraj Dubey on Saturday.
The SHO informed that a surprise vehicle checking drive was being conducted around 1.30 pm as part of the ongoing elections. During the checking drive, we found cash Rs 21 lakh in possession of Abhijeet Vaishnav, an employee of Ralas Motors. He told police that he was going to submit the cash amount in bank.
“After the seizure of money, we informed the flying squad team and Income Tax officers. The cash amount has been handed over to us and Vaishnav was told submit the details about the origin on cash,” informed SHO.
