The State Government has carried out various kinds of development works in the centers of historical and cultural importance in Chhattisgarh, said Chief Minister Raman Singh while releasing a calendar ‘Namami Shakti Swarupa Chhattisgarh’ on Friday. For providing better facilities to devotees visiting shrines like Bamleshwari Devi temple in Dongargarh , we are planning to enhance Ropeway capacity that would be able to carry 500 persons to the hilltop in one hour, he said.
The calendar is based on 14 different ‘devi sthals’ located in different parts of the State. The ‘Vikram Samwat’ 2072 calendar has been released by the State Public Relations Department, which also incorporates dates of Gregorian calendar year 2015. “Every year millions of tourists and devotees visit these places and very soon a working plan would be prepared for their convenience and local needs after consulting with temple committees and public representatives,” Singh stated and extended best wishes for Navaratri and Ashtmi poojan.
He further mentioned that Chhattisgarh has several centers of historical, Archeology and social importance which are equally visited by people from different communities. People from foreign nations also visit these centers and it is the responsibility of social organisations to managing the places with the State Government to maintain availability of basic amenities like drinking water, road, power etc in these places. The occasion was marked with presence of Chhattisgarh Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal, Tourism and Culture Minister Ajay Chandrakar along with public representatives.
