In broad daylight, three bike-borne robbers on Thursday looted the manager of a Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) agency of Rs 1.82 lakhs in the Chhattisgarh capital, police said.

Raipur Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Tarkeshwar Patel told The Pioneer that the incident took place in Khamahardih area when Surendra Pal Singh was on his way to the bank.

The victim had collected the cash from the LPG agency owner’s house to deposit it in the bank in Fafadih area.

The three miscreants on a motorcycle stopped him and one of them asked him the way to the Vidhan Sabha.

As the cashier replied to them and headed towards the bank, one of the robbers suddenly snatched Singh’s cash bag and fled with the others on the motorcycle, the officer said.
