Following the directives of Joint Secretary of Urban Administration & Development Department R Ekka, the Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) on Monday suspended its Zone-I Commissioner DK Banswar with immediate effect,
Raipur Municipal Commissioner Rajat Bansal informed.
The action was taken on the official under Rule 36 of Chhattisgarh Municipality Service Rule 1973 for executing painting works of boundary wall by misusing his post, he said.
During the suspension, Banswar would be attached to the Office of Joint Director of Urban Administration & Development Department in Bilaspur, he added.
