Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) is going to construct pink toilets especially for women in the city, Mayor Aijaz Dhebar said on Tuesday.

Sharing his one-year achievements during a press conference, he said the pink toilets will have a baby-feeding area.

He said that under the Mukhyamantri Slum Swasthya Yojana, 15 mobile medical units have been deployed in RMC limits. Of these, one is Dai-Didi unit. This all-female staff unit is dedicated only for women living in slums.

Under the Swami Atmanand Utkrsith Vidyalaya Yojana, three government-run schools in Raipur city have been converted into English medium schools and their infrastructure is being rapidly improved, he said.

At BP Pujari school, a computer room, a library, a sports ground and a national level basketball ground have been inaugurated, he said. Here classes from 1 to 12 will be conducted for students coming from financially weaker backgrounds.

The Mayor termed the beautification of Budha Talab in Raipur city as another major achievement. The project was completed within seven months.
