With view to generating awareness among the masses about vector-borne diseases like Dengue, Malaria and Filaria, the Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) is currently organising a series of ‘folk dance’ performances on streets of various wards in the city.
In this sequence, skilled members of a Non-government Art group staged folk dances in Ramsagar Para Ward and Kankali Para Ward of RMC zone-7 on Monday.
The group members, with their performance of ‘Chhattisgarhi Nacha’, ‘Gammat’ and ‘Prahasan music’, educated the people about the cause, treatment and preventive measurements to be taken for averting the possibility of vector-borne diseases.
A large number of local residents especially children turned up to watch the traditional dances.
