Following the directives of Municipal Commissioner Rajat Bansal, the Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) on Sunday imposed fine of Rs 7,45,200 on Raipur division of South East Central Railway (SECR) besides serving show cause notice for allowing advertisement hoardings without paying display fees to the civic body in its premises in the city, a RMC press release informed.
The RMC administration had imposed fine of Rs 7,45,200 for displaying 20 advertisement hoardings, flexes etc on the premises of Railway Station and other areas of SECR’s Raipur division by the advertisers which comes under jurisdiction of RMC.
RMC authority had written a letter in this regard to the Office of the Divisional Railway Manager on March 8 last month for which it received no replies on whether the display fee was deposited with the civic body or not.
The action would be taken under Rule 5 (E) of (Registration and Regulation) Sub Method 2012 within 24 hours, it informed.
