Continuing its drive against polythene carry bags, the City Investment and Market Departments of Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) conducted raids in about 150 different shops located in Pandri bus stand locality and seized 12 sacks of polythene bags, officers informed here on Friday. According to RMC officials, the seizures were made following the directives of in-charge commissioner RMC Sanjay Agrawal.
The RMC squad reached Shyam Plaza located in Pandri and different shops on the road side in Pandri area and conducted raids. The RMC squad conducted raids in 6 shops of Shyam Plaza including a hotel and different garment shops. The shop owners were warned that if polythene bags are found again, their shops could be locked down.
